Grooming your pet is a very important part of maintaining a healthy pet. It not only makes them look nice but it also helps to prevent serious coat and skin problems. It also has the benefit of helping to prevent parasites such as fleas and ticks. Cardinal Animal Hospital offers complete grooming services from routine nail trimming to professionally done hair styling and cutting. Bathing can be accommodated Monday through Friday provided your pet is dropped off by 8 a.m. Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression can also be requested.

Kathy Degraffenreid, our professional groomer is available by appointment to do special haircuts on both dogs and cats. Kathy is a graduate of the Southern Institute of Pet Grooming in Central, South Carolina, where she studied & trained under the direction of Debbie Beckwith, a "Certified Master Groomer" known internationally for her work in the grooming field. Kathy's classes included: All Breed Dog Grooming, Dog History, AKC Breeds and Anatomy, Handling Problem Animals, Common Health Problems, Safe Grooming, Cat Grooming, First Aid, Skin Problems and Parasites. You may schedule your pet to be groomed by Kathy Monday through Saturday.

Boarding • Cardinal Animal Hospital is pleased to offer boarding services to our clients. In our new modern facility we are able to offer you a full selection of choices for the comfort of your pet. Our kennels are in a heated/air conditioned area, or you may choose to have your pet stay in one of our comfortable runs either with or without an individual window. Each pet's individual accommodations are thoroughly cleaned at least twice daily and soft bedding is also provided. Exercise is a very important part of our guests visits with us. Every dog is taken out to our expansive exercise yard 3-4 times daily, or you may choose to upgrade your pets stay to our TLC Package where they receive extra individual playtime in addition to daily brushings.

For our special feline guests you may choose from standard accommodations in our cat ward or upgrade to our kitty condos, each with a window view of our outside garden area. You may choose from an Individual kitty condo, Duplex kitty condo, Triplex, or even a Quad Condo. We also offer our TLC Package for our feline friends which gives them daily individual care and special attention.

We feed all of our guests Hills Science Diet, however we are more than happy to feed your pets any special diet during their stay with us. Reservations are strongly recommended especially around the holidays as we book up quickly.
